Dear Neuroscientists, On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the 10th Turkish Neuroscience Congress to be held at Istanbul University (Beyazit Campus), Istanbul, between April 9-12th, 2011. The congress is organised by The Brain Research Society in Turkey (BArD) and Istanbul University. The neuroscience congress, which is a multidisciplinary platform involving basic and clinical disciplines, will include workshops, keynote talks, panel sessions, symposia and poster sessions on a wide variety of topics from molecular to behavioral neuroscience. The participants will also enjoy a social program and have the opportunity to visit Bosphorus and many historical attractions in Istanbul. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Istanbul and making this congress a successful event.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Date: April 9-12th, 2011
Venue: Istanbul
University, Beyazit, Istanbul. The campus is located on the European side
of Istanbul. Language: Presentations will be in Turkish or English.
Program at a glance: Workshops will be held on April 8th, one day before the congress. Scientific program will take place between April 9-12th, from 09.00 to 18.30.
Social program will include an opening reception on Saturday (April, 9th) at 19.30, and a Gala Dinner on Monday (April, 11th) at 20.00. In the afternoon of the last congress day (Tuesday, April 12th) there will be a boat tour on Bosphorus.
Abstracts: An abstract should be provided for each presentation. It should consist of max. 250 words excluding the title, authors and addresses, and should include the following sub-headings: Objectives, Materials & Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Five keywords should be provided. All submitted abstracts (except those by the invited speakers) will be evaluated by the scientific committee, and the authors will be notified. All accepted abstracts will be published in Turkish Journal of Neurology as Supplement.
Deadline & Submission: Deadline for submission of abstracts is February 25th, 2011. Please submit your abstract through the web site.
Poster presentations: Posters
should be prepared in a size of 70 cm (wide) x 100 cm (height). Velcro
and other material necessary for mounting the posters will be provided. Letter of Invitation: A formal letter of invitation will be provided upon request.
Registration: Deadline for early registration is March 1st, 2011. For registration fees and method of payment, please contact the Congress Secretariat at usk10@bad.org.tr (except for the invited speakers).
Accommodation: The accommodation alternatives will be later announced on the WEB site.
Transportation: There are two international airports in Istanbul. Ataturk Airport is located on the European side of Istanbul and is about 25 km away from the Bogazici University. Sabiha Gokcen Airport is located on the Asian side of Istanbul and is about 45 km to the campus. Transfer from the airport will be arranged for the invited speakers on arrival and departure.
